Safer Schools
Why the creation of Crime Stoppers
“Safer Schools” program?
Due to dramatic increases of criminal activity throughout public school campuses, the Safer Schools program was created. This program provides school administrators with an added tool that can be used to combat crime in their schools and to make their campuses a safer learning environment.
Goal
The goal of Safer Schools is 100% safe schools and involves more than just tips. Students today are faced with a lot of dangers such as dating violence, internet predators, bullying, drugs, weapons, underage drinking and more. Safer Schools gives students access to people and services that can help make them safer from all kinds of threats.
Safer Schools allows Crime Stoppers Coordinators and educators the opportunity to go into schools and teach a wide range of subjects and how to properly report problems safely.
