National Night Out is an annual event where communities across the country connect with law enforcement. The focus of National Night Out is to get neighborhoods actively involved in preventing crime in their community.
Date and Time: 10-01-2024 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Lucy Park located at 100 Sunset Drive/Northeast Parking lot and Pavilion.
- The CSU coordinates with the Trunk or Treat group to share the northeast parking lot.
- The Fool Killer performs music in the park pavilion.
- Minnies Ponies and Petting Zoo provides pony rides, animals to pet, and train rides.
- WFPD vehicles and officers, AMR, Fire, and Air Evac set up in the parking lot for contacts with the attending children and adults. Air Evac flies into the park and stations in the grass area.
- The WFPOA cooks hotdogs and provides chips and drinks donated by Crime Stoppers.
- Wichita Falls Area Crime Stoppers distributes trinkets and goodies to the attending children and adults.
- Civilians operate the Trunk or Treat and give out free candy.
